“The Union Budget 2020 presented by FM stated the three major themes for Union Budget 2020-2021 – aspirational India, economic development (for all) and building a caring society that is humane and compassionate. One of the key highlights of budget was the proposed allocation of Rs. 3,000 crore for skill development. The government has also announced robust policy reforms to push job creation in India. By 2030, India will have largest working age population in the world. This population needs both job and life skills. The initiative to start a programme for urban local bodies to provide opportunities for internships to young engineers will also create new jobs opportunities in the country. At PMI India we are constantly advocating the need for upskilling and reskilling among the students and the working population to ensure effective project execution. The huge investments in skill development will further add to the development of job sector in India.”
