We are extremely grateful to the honourable finance minister for extending the tax holiday to affordable housing and infrastructure projects coupled along with the extension of interest breaks available to the home buyer. This will provide a huge impetus to the current projects in this space and encouraging a more systematic approach to solving urban and semi-urban housing problems. This, even as more first time home buyers would now be encouraged to take a more thought-out decision in ‘owning’ a property of their own.
